Introduction
Cultural and social interactions are important integration aspects in our communities whereby individuals share their ideas and other socio-cultural sentiments, providing a new perspective to the way individuals approach life and other phenomenon in their daily activities. These social interactions gradually provide explanations and in long run an addiction to various activities that rejuvenate individuals in times when they are tired, have personal problems and for entertainment purposes. They include sporting activities, social media, business interactions, storytelling and other cultural aspects that individuals exchange and share such as language which have been greatly boosted by innovations in science and technology, more so in communication sector. Personally, I have much interest in football which to me acts the major entertainment hobby and a proud fan of a “giant” team in Spain, Real Madrid, since my childhood days. Soccer or football as it is commonly referred is a channel of global interaction as the widely watched and participated sporting activity in the world; discussions, contributions and sharing of ideas both physically and through other media channels. As a fan, there are various aspects that I consider motivating factors that strengthen my support for Real Madrid with organization, team performance, club’s mission and vision and the general love for football taking preference.
As a young child I developed undying interest in the field of soccer, enjoying the tantalizing field/ground moves by legendary stars such as Pele and Ronaldinho Gaucho who up to this moment to me are still the great footballers of all time. This undying interest has grown with time motivating me to be a member of the local soccer team and for the purposes of professionalism I support Real Madrid where I draw much inspiration from the past and the present players and their technical approach to different league and international clubs’ matches. This has been facilitated by innovations in science and technology whereby I can watch their matches at comfort of my room and in case I miss any match or discussions on matters concerning the team, I can conveniently search the content online and be briefed.
Club’s organization is simply the best and functional in that the corporate organization; shared values and assumption by the management and other stakeholders are clearly defined and transparent leadership structure, which acts as the ground for its fan base and continuity of the club. As a fan, I feel contented following all their activities and investment ventures greatly motivated by the need to keep the players comfortable and their welfare catered for as they play for the club and other stakeholders through corporate social responsibility initiatives by the club in their home ground and areas with significant fan base. In addition, club’s organization in terms of team management and nurturing talents is exceptional as the club has four teams where the talent is nurtured and selection of the players to represent the club in competitive matches is done.
Club’s performance as a team and in other ventures has strengthened my loyalty as the club with various caps in history and has been successful in other investment ventures that support the welfare of the players and management. The team has had good performances since is foundation both in the local and international inter-club competitions; earning a significant fan base in majority of countries globally and setting international standards in the football arena.
The club’s mission and vision are clearly outlined and adhered to by various management officials in the club which to me as a fan, streamlines the growth and development of soccer not only in Spain but also globally. This has gradually developed the love of football as a game to many footballers and entertainment to my fellow fans and followers of this great team. With a record of 32 La Liga titles, 18 Copas del Rey titles, 9 European cups/ Champions league titles and other local caps; the club is a major force both in Spanish and European football, making it a club worth supporting due to its tremendous growth and development of soccer as a sport.
Conclusion
Real Madrid has proved to be the favorite club for the people who value and adore football globally with much emphasis pegged on the leadership and governance along its various sections, performance and consistency. There is much to be desired in all of the club’s teams; technical ground skills, the mode of organization as a team and club, management and the team spirit especially in competitive matches and the pride that comes with being associated with the club as a primary stakeholder or as a fan.
